Both born in Walnut Ridge, Jon attended K-12 at Hoxie as a Mustang and Lesa at Walnut Ridge as a Bobcat. They both have fond memories of growing up in Hoxie and Walnut Ridge and feel blessed to have been able to experience small town life here. After 20 years of service and travel with the U.S. Army from coast to coast and Europe, they returned to the homeland they love. Jon's passions are railroadiana, military and local history, and historical architecture. Both sides of Lesa’s family have lived in the Walnut Ridge area since the 1800's. Her interests are genealogy, local history, and historical preservation. Jon & Lesa are currently restoring an 1893 storefront on NE Front Street in Walnut Ridge. They are interested in the revitalization efforts in the downtown community.
James graduated from Hoxie Schools, moved to Texas to work, and returned back home to Hoxie several years ago. He lives, eats, and breathes local history. Recognizing the need to digitize artifacts and preserve history for future generations, James has tirelessly collected, scanned, and cataloged numerous photographs, postcards, news clippings and other ephemera. An avid postcard collector, James travels as far as Dallas and St Louis regularly to attend trade shows and add to his ever growing collection of Arkansas cards.
